**3 Day Course** ┃ **Available at our Gloucester Academy** ┃ **Course Cost: £1195**

This course is designed to enhance your abilities as a beauty therapist or electrologist, focusing on electrical epilation treatments. It includes:
**Client Care and Communication:** Learn how to interact effectively with clients in beauty industries.
**Electrical Epilation Provision:** Gain skills in providing electrical epilation treatments.
**Salon Health and Safety:** Understand and implement health and safety practices in salon environments.
**Diathermy Epilation:** This method involves the permanent removal of unwanted hair using short-wave diathermy current. The process involves heating the hair at its root, destroying its moisture, living cells, and blood supply, effectively eliminating the hair.
**Pre-requisites**: NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or NVQ Level 2 Facial & Skincare.
**Advanced Progression**: After completing this course, you can progress to Level 4 Skin Blemish Removal. This advanced course covers electrical epilation techniques for treating various skin blemishes like skin tags, milia, telangiectasia, spider naevi, and blood spots.

Day One, Two & Three Schedule:

Day 1:

10:00 am: Arrival.

10:05 am: Welcome and Introduction.

10:30 am: Mandatory COVID exam.

11:00 am: Epilation theory session covering hygiene, contraindications, contra-actions, epilation methods and techniques, aftercare, and health and safety.

12:00 pm: Practical demonstration.

12:30 pm: Student practice on insertion techniques, initially without and then with current, progressing to working on various body parts throughout the afternoon.

1:30 pm: End of practical session with a question and answer period, covering NVQ material.

2:pm: Finish

Day 2:

10:00 am: Arrival.

10:05 am: Theory session on hair types and the causes of hair growth.

11:00 am: Practical session using various methods and techniques.

12:00 pm: Practical session, moving on to facial epilation.

1.30 pm: End of the day with a question and answer session, covering NVQ material.

2pm: Finish

Day 3

10:00 am: Arrival, followed by a recap session in preparation for the exam.

10:30 am: Epilation exam.

12:00 pm: Start of practical assessments.

1:30 pm: Continuation of practical assessments.

2:00 pm: Conclusion of the course.
