This FHT fire cupping therapy training course will teach learners how to treat a range of physical and emotional conditions with this wonderfully effective and fascinating therapy. Fire cupping is an ancient technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapy. TMC practitioners believe that a personâs chi, or vital energy, gets imbalanced when they are ill, stressed or injured. In Eastern society, it is thought that fire cupping pulls out blockages in the patientâs chi which allows energy to flow more freely and promotes healing. Fire cupping is a form of deep tissue massage that promotes stress relief and relaxation.
Fire cupping has been used to treat: chronic back pains, arthritis, swollen and painful joints, respiratory problems, colds, headaches/migraines, promote relaxation, sleep disorders, cellulite reduction, anxiety and depression.
Performing cupping over injured sites promotes better circulation, thus, speed up the healing process. The detoxification effect of the blood suction also allows for old blood to vacate the capillaries and be filled with new ones result to renewed energy and vitality
The treatment involves the placement of a heated glass cups on the skin which creates a vacuum. The vacuum is created by removing the oxygen from the cup via a flame, the cup is immediately applied to the area which requires treatment. Skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup. It can be used to treat different disorders in its own right or in conjunction with other therapies.

The face sculpting techniqueâ, is based on an ancient healing technique called Gua Sha. First referred to in traditional Chinese medicine text, called the âShan Han Lunâ, dated 220CE.
This method was originally use to encourage redness, âShaâ, which encourages the skin to heal itself.
In China this has been performed traditionally with a coin and has been adapted with the various Gua Sha tools.
This beautiful therapy has been adapted for facial use in recent years, originally a body therapy, recognised by the scraping motion. This has now evolved into the gentle, gliding, even stroke, technique used today in our facial work.
Gua Sha Facial, is a method that promotes lymphatic drainage, which helps to eliminate fluid caused by interstitial fluid collected around the cells.
Gua Sha promotes the overall health of the skin, promoting micro circulation to feed the skin. Increase production of collagen and minimise fine lines and decrease inflammation in the skin.
Traditional Chinese methodologies believe this can temporarily, relieve pain, diminish dark circles, and sculpt the facial muscles, which insert into skin.

It is a unique healing massage derived from the ancient Polynesians and more specifically the master healers of Hawaii. One of the alternative names for Lomi Lomi is the âLoving handsâ massage. Lomi Lomi helps to release any energy blockages within the body and assists in balancing the physical, mental and emotional well-being. The course is for continuous professional development and for qualified therapists looking to upskill.
Introduction
This course will teach therapists the foundation skills they require to set up and use the Hydrotherm system to deliver consistently great massage treatments. This course is suitable for beauty and holistic therapists, either working independently or in therapy businesses and for students at colleges of further education who are studying an appropriate therapy course and who wish to expand upon their practical skillset. Crucially, it is an entry-level course which is taught in only one day and one that all potential Hydrotherm practitioners must complete before they can progress to any other Hydrotherm course.
Minimum Course Entry Requirements
Before commencing their training, practitioners must possess the following:
A level 3 anatomy and physiology qualification at a recognised institution or be in the process of obtaining one.
They must also hold or be in the process of obtaining an appropriate level 3 vocational qualification applicable to Hydrotherm (such as massage, beauty therapy, reflexology, etc.) awarded by a recognised institution. As part of their registration, they will be asked to sign a declaration to this effect.
They must have an adequate level of written and spoken English and be a minimum age of 18 years before they can be certified as a Hydrotherm S1/C1 practitioner.
If physically challenged, they must have sufficient ability to perform all techniques involved.
Course Details
The S1/C1 course provides a number of key skills for an effective massage delivery using Hydrotherm:
Trainees will learn how to set up and use the complete Hydrotherm system including the heat pads - irrespective of the system that they will be using.
They will also learn how to give a safe and effective full-body Hydrotherm massage treatment. This course is predominantly a practical hands-on training course.
This course will be delivered by Hydrotherm trainers or In-House trainers who have been trained and certified to do so by Hydrotherm. A training class may contain both male and female trainees.
Assessments will be done same day at the end of the day for this course
All new Hydrotherm equipment will be supplied same-day to be taken home.

Assessment
In order to pass the course, the trainee will be assessed in a number of ways to allow us to release a certificate and to log the trainee as a certified Hydrotherm therapist:
An oral test to grasp the traineeâs understanding of equipment setup procedure
A full-body Hydrotherm treatment administered by the trainee to an assessor (who may or may not be the original trainer)
Certification
Upon receipt of a âpassâ mark or higher from the assessments (1, 2 & 3 above), Hydrotherm will issue a certificate confirming that the trainee has successfully completed the S1/C1 course and is authorised to provide basic Hydrotherm treatments. This certificate will not become valid until the trainee has fulfilled the minimum entry requirements mentioned above, after which point he/she can class themselves as a certified Hydrotherm practitioner.
Hydrotherm recommends that all trainees complete between 12-20 ârevisionâ treatments, in order to ensure that the techniques have been fully memorised

Indian Head Massage

This FHT Diploma in Indian Head Massage is aimed at massage therapists who want to extend their skills as a complementary therapist and offer clients more variety. High levels of stress and worry, busy schedules and poor posture can put unnatural pressure and strain on the body, if untreated this stored tension in upper body can lead to an array of physical and emotional conditions.
Indian Head Massage has been an important part of Indian life for over four thousand years, since its impact on the western world thousands have discovered and experienced its healing properties. Many now regularly receive Indian Head Massage either at home or increasingly within the workplace to manage, treat and release various physical and psychological symptoms of stress.
The neck, shoulders, back, face and scalp are massaged to release tension and pressure using a variety of traditional strokes and pressure point techniques. Treatment can be given dry without oils and fully clothes however it is more beneficial with the use of oils. Once finished this massage will give you a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Table Thai Stretch Therapy utilises the exquisite stretches and presses from Thai Massage and shows how they can be adapted for use on the massage couch. It is the perfect complement to any exercise routine and is suitable for clients of all ages and abilities. The routine can be varied to suit a wide range of physical needs and can be used as a form of physical therapy to aid in the increase of motion and muscular strength.
Table Thai Stretch Therapy Massage Techniques are a great way to bring variety into your work and alleviate the repetitive movements of a more traditional massage treatment. The treatment is administered through loose fitting clothing.
This massage course will teach you the fundamentals of Thai Massage and how to effectively apply the techniques into your practice. You will therefore leave with the skills to enhance your treatment procedure. As a result of this course you will witness improved results amongst your client base.
You will be amazed at the benefits that sustained stretches and mobilisations will bring to your clients, thus reducing their pain and increasing their mobility.

Candidates are required to hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Massage.

Your tutor will observe your performance throughout the course and you are required to sit a multiple choice paper which will assess your skills and knowledge against the required criteria governed by the Industries regulatory bodies.
You are required to complete 9 treatments as case studies. 3 clients x 3 treatments over a maximum period of 3 months in order to complete the qualification.
